Bounteous Bracelets and Bangles

Learn how to use forging, stretching, fold forming, twisting, braiding, hammering, and fabrication to create bracelets from wire, tube, and sheet. In this intro-level workshop, students will explore different textures and variations of the form while learning the basics of jewelry making, including piercing, filing, silver and copper-phosphorus soldering, and the use of a rolling mill. We will work in copper, brass, nickel, and bronze, and students as a group will choose which projects we work on. Participants can expect to finish the workshop with one or more cuff bracelets and bangles.
